We generally receive a lot of interest regarding a litter but just because a person contacts us first, does not mean that they will have pick of the litter, we place our puppies in homes based on personality and requirements of both the new families and pups.
If you are seriously interested and would like to be considered for a puppy, then please do get in touch via email (or via the form on the "Contact" page) and tell us about yourself.
Some examples of things to include are:
- Your lifestyle, home, garden/space, work, family and household members
- Describe a typical daily routine for both you and your dog - i.e what will puppy do while you're at work?
- Dalmatian experience and any current dogs (including age, breed, sex, temperament)
- Any other animals
- Plans for your new puppy (such as training classes, socialisation, vaccinations, vet care, health testing, breeding, neutering, diet, etc.)
- Exercise and stimulation plans for the puppy
- Have you ever had to rehome a dog you once owned? If so, why?
Our Breeding Ethics
All of the dalmatians that we choose to breed from are BAER hearing tested, hip and elbow scored and DNA tested. Any stud dogs that we use are tested as such. This is above and beyond of what the Kennel Club and other breed clubs require.
We also only breed using those of a sound temperament with the aim that our dogs and puppies are 'FIT FOR PURPOSE'.
We breed only from health tested parents and those with a lineage of known health records, we prioritise health and strive for the continuation of a 'fit for purpose' breed. We breed very occasionally and never for profit.
We will offer you with help, advice and support for the whole of your puppies life and as a requirement we will need to stay in contact with you!
REMEMBER: Dalmatians are a special breed who thrive on human company and require lots of exercise. In return they will be your best friend and loyal companion. Please consider this when deciding if a dalmatian is the right dog for you.
PUPPIES WILL BE PLACED WITH THEIR NEW OWNERS ACCORDING TO TEMPERAMENT & PET/SHOW/BREEDING QUALITIES.
Just because a person contacts us first, does not mean that they will have pick of the litter and equally just because as person contacts us last minute about puppies, does it mean that they won't get a fantastic puppy.
We will invite all puppy listers to come and meet the puppies and us upon appointment at the age of 5 to 6 weeks to select a 1st and second choice of pup. Then, once ALL health tests have been completed and we have a better understanding of the puppy's temperaments and show potential we will tell you which of your short list are available for you to choose from.
